Outac is Sport Northumbria Mountaineering Club (formerly OUTdoor Activities Club, hence the name Outac).

We have a timetable of events starting in October with a weekend trip to some picturesque part of the British Isles every second weekend or so. We actually do far more hillwalking and trekking than mountaineering so don't be scared if you're not very fit or experienced! See Trip List for (unsurprisingly), a list of the trips.

Outac recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.

The next trip is to Glencoe in the Scotland on Friday 6^th December. Places are limited so if you wish to go you must confirm this with Phil as soon as possible. As usual we have rented Glencoe Hostel bunkhouse. For details of the trip click here: CLICK! Anybody who comes on this trip must read and digest the SAFETY page. The Christmas meal will be on Tuesday 9^th December. Please contact Nicole if you want to go so she can get an idea of numbers. She also needs a £5 quid deposit.
