Glenridding - January. Scrambling and walking in one of the most famous parts of England! The transport will hopefully be leaving late afternoon. We are staying in a bunkhouse which is near the Travellers Rest pub. Maps : Of the Lake District supplied by Outac Travel : Its 100 miles and should take a little over 2 hours. The present plan is to take cars only but we'll see how much demand there is closer to the time to take Phil’s Beast! Accommodation : In Bell Cottage Bunkhouse which is near (ish) a pub. Outac star rating : **** Routes : Helvellyn via Striding Edge is always a good giggle. Kit : Remember it's now Winter! Snow is extected :-). Further Details on specailist kit will be given nearer the weekend. The bunkhouse is quite warm so all you need is a sleeping bag which can be supplied by Outac, but you should bring your own if you have one.
