Chamonix in March. We will travel on Easyjet. We are staying in a very basic hostel right next to the bottom Brevent telecabine station · Maps : Piste map of the Chamonix valley is useful! · Travel : Easyjet from Newcastle Airport to Geneva. Then minibus transfer to Chamonix. · Accommodation : A hostel right next to the Brevent telecabine station. Perfect location! · Routes : Ski like Gods · Kit : Either bring your own or hire it when we get there · Think skiing is expensive? These are the costs : Easyjet flight to Geneva £60 (estimate if you book early), Minibus to Chamonix £40, Hostel 12 Euros per night, Lift pass 25 Euros per day.
Arguably Chamonix has some the most keen off piste routes in the world, but it also has some pretty good on-piste bits too! We keep the cost down by flying Easyjet and staying in a basic hostel. If your experience of skiing is a five star luxury chalet, then this may not be the trip for you!
